Today our class helped parent volunteers prepare for the harvest dinner, which will be on November 2nd.  We scooped out squash, shredded carrots, and helped clean up a GIANT mess.  Please be on the look out for more details about this event.

Welcome to Ms. Cowden's Frist Grade Blog!  Here, you will find updates about what is happening in our first grade classroom and pictures of your little ones on their adventures of living and learning.  Below are some photos from our visit with the Hinesburg Fire Department.  We learned what fire fighters can do and what tools they use to keep us safe.  We got to go inside the fire truck, which the students loved as you can tell from the looks on their faces.  Ask your child some of the things that fire fighters can do and what tools they have!
