Readers from CVU

We have been having some guest readers in our classroom from CVU.  They read to the students and talk with them about the books once or twice each month.  The first graders love having the "big kids" in our room and truly look forward to it!

Reader's Theater

Students in our classroom have been developing their fluency skills by performing the stories that they have been reading.  This enhances students skills and confidence by having them practice reading with a purpose.  The performers and the audience have been enjoying it!
